About Us

The Deeper Well Functional Medicine PLLC was founded by Dr. Rachel Croteau-Cooper DO, IFMCP, a licensed and board certified Family Medicine Physician who felt the need to develop a healthcare space where she could connect with patients on a deeper level than what was feasible in traditional medicine models.

In her 20 years of working as a board certified Family Medicine Physician, Dr Croteau-Cooper met many patients who were struggling to improve their health under a traditional care model. Some patients continued to deal with bothersome symptoms despite tests coming back “normal”; others were stuck on years of prescription medications, masking symptoms but not actually getting the answers they needed. 

 

While juggling a busy medical practice, family life and community involvement Dr. Croteau-Cooper began to experience struggles with her own health and well-being.  It was during this challenging time that she made a commitment to her own health and healing, and discovered the power of a Functional Medicine model. ​

The Functional Medicine model of care starts with your story; it connects your story and your symptoms to determine which body systems are out of balance and driving you to not feel well. Much like excavation work, to build a foundation of health starts with digging below the surface.​

 

Through her personal and professional experience, Dr. Croteau-Cooper understands what it takes to be resilient and heal.  She understands the challenges and barriers that exist within each of us that hold us back from being well.
